Coach bus trip to Champaign, Illinois area. During the trip will be visiting the University of Illinois Arboretum which includes a Japanese Garden, the Illinois Prairie Hosta Society Display Garden, and the Master Gardener's Idea Garden. We will also have a guided tour of the Allerton Park and Retreat center gardens. We will be visiting the Bill Dick and Katrina Cheney garden which has one of the largest koi ponds in central Illinois. This spring they expanded it by another 4500 gallons. Bill will give us a presentation about his koi and parrots. Some of you know Mary Ann Metz. We will be visiting her garden as well as the garden center she works for, Prairie Gardens. We will visit Mike Weber's garden and a few other private gardens.
Included in the trip is Bus Transportation, hotel accommodations at the Holiday Inn Champaign, admission to Allerton Park Garden tour, Lunches Friday & Saturday, Dinner Friday night, Saturday Breakfast, snacks and fun and friendships.
